So like, inorite I haven't posted in a couple months. Bluntly though, there isn't much for me TO post about.

Right now I'm sick, really depressed, and my head hurts a lot =(. I get to go to college in a couple months though, w00t =D. 'Til that time comes anyways...

Since I've had numerous hours to do nothing but play games and dink around on the intarweb, I've found something kinda weird, cool and somewhat funny looking. Apparently they're making a new Castlevania game, but it's not a platformer, sidescroller, hack 'n slasher either. It's a FIGHTER.

I looked at some of the screens for it and while I thought it was something I'd like to try, I couldn't help but laugh. I know they come up with some weird ideas for fighters sometimes, but I would have NEVER guessed to see Alucard fighting like... Simon, or Hector, or whoever. I just kinda hope they have an alternate costume or something for Alucard... cuz I'm not digging the one they made up for him. Now to change the topic into other gaming stuff I'm doing.

Yes I'm still playing FFXII, I play it here and there and am just currently grinding levels. I feel bad for Balthier and Fran though, they're really my "backup guys", and I like Fran =/.

I still can't wait for Diablo 3, I'm hoping the release date is somewhat soon since the gameplay footage looked like they had the system and whatnot down for it. Sucky thing is everyone I know irl either can't afford new games, can't play them because of their comp, or are just too scared for w/e reason to try something new. I can't tell you how many people I've talked about WoW to and they'll just say something like "Nah I don't wanna play WoW..." "Why not?" "'Eh..." "o.o;;". Sometimes I can see WoW but I get it with D2 a lot as well and that's just wow xD. It's maddening.

At least I have mini spicecakes =D. (On an odd side note, I just discovered yesterday that I like Pat Benatar =o)

Might be the only Final Fantasy I ever dropped.

A couple of months ago I bought this with the remaining money I had from my gift card at Best Buy thinking "Hey, I never beat this so I might as well pick it up instead of renting it. I've never really been let down by a Final Fantasy game... well maybe 9..." I found a new one =D.

This game has so much potential in both it's story and gameplay, but it's so tedious. You level up, fight boss, level up, fight boss, and there's no real reason to keep you on the edge of your seat. There's no reason for me to WANT to know why these characters are doing what seems to be absolutely nothing for more than half the game.

Let's get down to why I'm so annoyed. The gameplay. I swap in a couple guys and they just do everything for me. The only time I really feel like I'm playing is when I'm walking around, maybe a little when I'm fighting a boss... maybe. Gambits and a "Timing" twist make this a VERY simple game. I can literally put my controller down and let the party do w/e in a fight.

That's just the battle mechanics, the evolving aspect of the way you play is just downright dull. EVERYONE can be the same guy. I'm serious with this too, there's no definite role in this game for any of the characters. Four of my main party members are equipped with the SAME gear, the SAME abilities, and the SAME gambits... they have been for the long haul I've played this, and I STILL haven't found a reason to change that.

Now we get into what I'm doing trying to evolve the storyline: Walk, let my guys beat stuff, heal, walk some more, over powered boss get, level up for a million years so I can face said boss, hit town, lather rinse repeat. Now I realize this may sound, in a rough coarse way, like any other FF game, but this is just nuts to explain. I really can't stand how one second I'm "Overleveled" then the next dungeoncrawl™ I'm way too weak. When I think I AM strong enough to fight the boss I'm pretty much playing uber-defensive the whole time.

In terms of story, I'm like halfway or more through the game according to various walkthroughs and whatnot and I still have no real idea what's going on. Remember when I said every character can be the same? Storywise there's not much of a difference, there is no main character, it switches here and there.. 'eh. I still don't even know who's the bad guy. So far it's "the big bad empire that's gon gitcha".

I could go all night about how flustered I am with this game. Every time I think to myself "Should I stop playing? Nah maybe it'll get good after THIS boss!" I get a big heaping plate of crap, lies, betrayal and despair shoved back at me.

If you know me, you know that I HATE to drop games, but I hate even MORE to waste my time. Lot's of my time feels like it did. =/

In closing - FFX is still the best Final Fantasy evar. Sorry Des =/.

I can't tell you how much of a DBZ mood I'm in right now. (Usually this kinda thing comes up every once in a while, but it's been about 2 or 3 years since I last had ANYTHING to do with DBZ. Mainly because I'm such a mark for the series that I know it like the back of my hand. Now it's time to PROGRESS TEH POSTAGES!!)

Almost a week ago while I was up in Traverse Citywok*shakeshead* my main man Lige got the latest DBZ video game clone: Burst Limit. It was an 'eh game imo, if you're into fighting SYSTEMs then the games for you I suppose, otherwise it's Budokai 1. ANYWAYS, whilst playing it I got into a DBZ mood since we were playing it quite a bit and were watching actual episodes of DBZ.

NOW I want to play DBZ again, I don't necessarily mean Burst Limit, but like Tenkaiichi or Budokai 3, or even *gasp* a DBZ table-top game.

I was watching the episode where Future Trunks rapes Frieza (Which in a way I always thought the various times they killed off Frieza in the series was lame, except from the original time when he lost on Namek. Otherwise it was "HE'S BACK, NEVERMIND HE'S DED'D!!") and I finally came to a conclusion that I REALLY would like to play a DBZ game of some sort. So now I'm thinking about possibly buying Budokai 3, or Tenkaiichi 3 for Wii.

And yes, if I did play a table-top, I would have to play a saiyan.

I gotta admit, lately I've been playing a boatload (A Tugboat) of games and whatnot lately.So many that I don't know which ones I want to stop playing for a bit and just pick up another, or play all at the same time, or blah.

Just recently I started replaying Final Fantasy XII. I played it 2 years ago and got like 40% into the game or so then dropped it 'cuz the rental date went up, never picked it back up til just a couple days ago.

I gotta say, I do like this one. It's got a good setting, I like the characters, and I just plain think the "new" combat system is pimp. The license system is pretty neat too, but I've noticed I've been making a lot of the characters the same. So far it hasn't been a problem game-wise, but I still feel a bit uncomfortable with certain guys having no specific role.

Beyond FFXII though, I've been playing and beating Metal Gear Solid 1 and 2. I'm taking a break 'til I get to 3, I played it and it was "'eh" so far but we'll see. MGS4 looks sweet, Raiden is looking pretty slick.

Not to mention I was replaying GU as well, I stopped right before the end of the first one since I got the 3 MGS games.

...And Zelda, and Metroid Prime 3, and SSBB (Though seriously, there's nothing left for me to do with SSBB.).

In non video game sense I got the Star Wars Saga Edition book finally in the mail yesterday. God I wanna play it xD. This has got to be the BEST D20 book I've ever seen/owned. I mean... wow. Now if I can only ever get a group up again >.>.

As stated in my last post, a week and 6 days ago was my B-Day and I can honestly admit again that that hailed some pretty nice gifts. My total loot was Edward the Great: Iron Maiden's Greatest Hits, an iPod Nano (This made me practically drop the load.), 2 packs of WoW TCG, MGS 1-3, this awesome card that plays the Star Wars theme when you open it, and the Star Wars book and 2 volumes of Chrono Crusade.

Since then I've gotten my ID and whatnot and am patching some stuff up in my life, trying to figure out how/what I wanna do to execute them. Sooo life seems to be actually lookin' up for thee.

Incidentally, if you haven't had the Steakhouse Burger from Burger King, get one. Jesus on ice that's good.

In news of life, since I haven't posted in this thing in god knows how long, I've been doin' some tests, replaying games, SSBB, WoW, trying to figure out my future, and sleeping. I plan to get a jorb in the next couple months, money is good.

I really want a PS3 now. GTA IV came out and I didn't even notice. I didn't think I'd want it that bad but I'm friggin' craving it.

Well what do ya know, there's gonna be a WoW mini's game! Kinda figures since I s'pose the card game is doing well I think. ANYWAYS this might actually make me interested again in actually buying mini'z. Unless the rules totally fail and/or it's some lame $15-20 a booster (I literally hate that, it's one of the main reasons I stopped getting Star Wars mini's.). I saw the little example models of the figures though and they look actually pretty nice too so just gotta wait til fall.

In sorta related news to that I need to re-activate my account for WoW but I dunno how fast I want to get it back. Sometimes I really want to do some PvP in the middle of the night when there's nothin' to do. At the same time I'm kinda enjoying a break from WoW as well. So blah.

Wii still pwns =o.

I now have access to the 7th gen of game systems! Wewtz0rz!

I got a Wii, and despite not really having a good sit with it and play some of my games I can already say I love this machine xD. I gots Wii Sports (Comes with the system.), Bleach: Shattered Blade, Metroid Prime 3, Super Mario Galaxy, and Trauma Center Second Opinion. Now besides Zelda and Guitar Hero 3 I just need to wait for Smash Bros to come out in March.

I also got a Wii points card or w/e and downloaded Star Fox 64 (I had to get this game... it's a childhood thing xD), Castlevania (Yes the first one), and Mario because I mean come on... it's a Nintendo system.

Also in non-relatedness to the Wii I got me some Manga and Megaman X Collection.

So I'm looking at Soul Calibur 4 here and I just learned that they're gonna have Vader and Yoda as extra characters. At first I'm thinking "Wtf?" but it's kinda grown on me. So far I've heard something like Vader for PS3 and Yoda for 360 or something but not sure if they're system specific or not. I gotta admit, it would be pretty sweet to be fighting with Vader.

Speaking of PS3 I'm thinking about getting one but probably way later. I've been in a jumble of thinking "Do I want a Wii or a PS3 first?..." but right now I'm thinking Wii is the way to go. I've heard numerous people say PS3 is going to have another price drop so as much money saved as I can is nice. Plus I wanna play Super Smash Bros and Zelda >.>.

I kinda wish that 4th edition would come out a bit faster. Figures I really get into D&D when 3rd ed is going to be outdated =/.

Also for some reason I'm a huge Bleach fan lately.

^Mandatory Holiday Post

I didn't know there was a live action Dragonball movie being made. Also didn't know it's supposed to come out next year. Huh...

I watched Bio-Broly (Ugh...) and got into a semi-DBZ mood which got me to that news.


Besides DBZ there's a totally redone CGI cinematic of the opening scene of FF7 which sparks rumors of a PS3 version of the game. If so then I'mma getting a PS3, I bout creamed myself watching that.

(Which reminds me I need to get my FF7 discs back from my pal...)

It's snowing. A lot. Normally I like snow but this is a lot outta nowhere haha. Anyways...

Been WoWin' it up like a madman, made lvl 70 and now I'm onto de epic gears. I'm one brave little toaster.

Despite my efforts to get one I still can't even find a place around here that has even like 10-20 Wii's shipped in. I know they're hard to get but blah.

I'm starting to think about future plans for stuff but I dunno where I wanna go with career choices. Ahwell still got like a year or so before I have to make a definite decision.

Um, other than that stuff I can't think of anything else goin' on. Been boreded. Thar be nothing to do in this area. =o

Have you ever been woken by a song stuck in your head? Not like all night long but out of nowhere? Last night I was sleeping quite peacefully then alluva sudden the old Reading Rainbow song got stuck in my head. So for an hour before I actually woke up I kept hearing "IIIII can be ANYTHING!" (Exactly as that chick sang it too...). Maybe my mind is trying to tell me to take a look inside a book.

Now I want to watch TNG even more too...
